Installation Requirements
Installation Options
- Adequate space to mount the control unit under the dental tray or inside the dental tray away from heat and excessive moisture.
- A grounded AC outlet providing a 3 prong connection.
- A high speed hose from the dental unit or tray providing drive and chip air, and water connections that comply with ISO standards.
- Air supply must achieve the required settings in the chart in the right.
- The adaptive performance of ATC technology depends on the ability to achieve the nominal/maximum operatory air pressure requirements at the inlet of the Stylus ATC control unit (ie. pressure at the dental head/ tray.)
- Accurately measuring air pressure with a gage connected to the ATC control unit requires the bur to be stalled. (Instructions on stalling a bur can be found on page 6 of the Stylus ATC Instructions for Installation.)
- The majority of dental chairs are able to achieve these settings with minor adjustments to:
- The dental tray needle valve pressure
- The dental chair junction box (J-box) or cabinet valve pressure
- The operatory compressor recovery pressure to ensure constant pressure at J-box
- When minimum requirements are not met, operatory plumbing may require minor repair, alterations or upgrades. Retrofitting with dedicated components may also be an option.
